Study: Plastics 2007

The new study Plastics 2007: Flame retardants, fire safety, environmental aspects complements the 3rd Edition of the Plastics Flammability Handbook published in 2004, provides recent information on fire regulations and tests, on developments for flame retardants and their markets, as well as environmental trends.

How safe are coaches?

The bus fire disaster near Hannover on 4th November 2008 has shown that the current fire safety precautions do not suffice to avoid such catastrophes. However, as can be seen from my letter to the President of the European Fire Academy, there are already approaches to decisively improve fire safety in coaches.
