About us
Since 1983, the consulting company Fire and Environment Protection Service FEPS provides international consultancy and scientific expertise on topics related to the fire behaviour of plastics, flame retardants, the environment and other issues. FEPS helps planning and carrying out fire tests (focus on membrane roofing systems) and provides expert opinions. In addition, FEPS builds particularly robust and easy-to-handle flammability testing equipment.

Dr. Jürgen Troitzsch
Dr. Juergen Troitzsch graduated in chemistry in Marburg, and gained his doctorate from Aachen Technical University. After one year with DuPont in Frankfurt, he joined Hüls AG (now Evonik) in Marl, where he worked for 10 years on plastics, flame retardants, additives and fire testing in research and R&D. In 1983, he founded the consulting company FEPS in Wiesbaden.
Dr. Troitzsch is a member of national and international committees, working world-wide as an expert with industry, associations, academic institutions, governmental authorities and organisations. He has completed several comprehensive studies, participates in research projects, has published numerous articles and reviews, organised and led many seminars and conferences. He has presented worldwide more than 200 papers at conferences on all aspects of fires, fire safety, plastics, flame retardants and the environment. He is the author of the "Plastics Flammability Handbook" (More info under publications).
